The Statistics Don’t Lie

If you are suffering from stress, anxiety or depression you are not alone. Research shows that as a global population we are experiencing epidemic levels of these negative influences on our lives. Influences that rob us from living optimally with a sense of well being. Instead for many day to day life seems a battle, for some a mild one and others severe.

And it does not discriminate. From the young to to the elderly, the successful to those struggling, Elite performers (in all fields) to the homeless.

Very Helpful With My Depression

"I would like to thank you for your help with the Vedic Meditation Course, I have tried to teach myself a couple of different Meditation practices in the past and found it very difficult, however, I found doing your Course and the follow-up meetings to be very helpful with my depression. I also find the group Meditations to be helpful in fine-tuning my practices. Meditation is now something I look forward to each day, thanks again."

The Silent Thieves In The Night – Stress, Anxiety & Depression

If you are suffering from stress, anxiety or depression you are not alone. Research shows that as a global population we are experiencing epidemic levels of these negative influences on our lives. Influences that rob us from living optimally with a sense of well being. Instead for many day to day life seems a battle, for some a mild one and others severe.

And it does not discriminate. From the young to to the elderly, the successful to those struggling, Elite performers (in all fields) to the homeless.

The pressures and demands of life are never going away, so we need to find a better way to not only cope with these but essentially not be so effected by the stresses.

The reason Vedic Meditation works so well for our wellbeing is it is so easy to do. As we are not trying to “force or concentrate” the mind into something it does not want to do. Instead we are using a mantra (selected to suit your life’s situation) and a specific technique for using it.

These method has a very soothing effect on the nervous system. So it is like the exact opposite of stress, anxiety and depression.

We practice this method twice a day for 20 minutes and the results are amazing.

Science shows us that these short meditations are 2 to 5 times greater than that of sleep. So our nervous system goes into a deep deep state of rest and repair.

It is due to this deep state of rest achieved that this form of meditation has been found to be twice as effective as other forms of relaxation or meditation when it comes to reducing symptoms of anxiety and also a reduction of cortisol by 33% (the stress hormone)

The results are consistent and profound. Blood plasma lactate levels, which are always elevated in people with anxiety and which are considered the classic marker for it, fall by a hugely significant average of 33%.

Tests using Galvanic Skin Resistance (GSR) to measure how relaxed someone is, have shown that, during Vedic meditation, the GSR levels increase by between 250% and 500%. This is more than double what we experience during sleep.

This technique has also been shown to deliver a 42% reduction in sleep disorders, as well as improved quality of sleep.

Studies have also shown that after eight weeks of practise, participants demonstrated a 40-55% reduction in symptoms of PTSD and depression.

Research has also revealed a 38-45% improvement in mood scores.

Meditation has been shown to have the following benefits:

  • Decision making is easier
  • Less preoccupied
  • More energy
  • Better sleep
  • Emotional Stability
  • Increased Self Awareness
  • Better Memory
  • Clarity
  • Increase of happy hormones (serotonin & dopamine)
Haven't Felt This Un-Anxious since I can't Remember

"Mostly floating at top of the deep water but must be venturing downwards away from the "chatter" enough during each session because I feel a tangible difference in my contentment. Very calming feeling. Haven't felt this un-anxious since I cant remember."

Vedic Meditation -
The Difference
With VM we are neither concentrating nor contemplating. We use a Mantra (translation is Mannas - Mind, Tra - Vehicle so it is a vehicle of the mind).

The mantras we use in Vedic Meditation are known as Bija Mantras (seed mantras) which have no meaning. As if the mantras meant something we would be using the right side of the brain by contemplating.
We are not concentrating on the mantra either as then we would be concentrating.

You will learn a particular technique that is scientifically shown to activate both hemispheres of the brain.

Vedic Meditation is also shown to reduce our metabolic rate (your functioning energy rate) by 24% during meditation compared to just dropping by 8% during sleep. So we are getting 2-5 times greater rest than sleep.

Thanks to this deep, calm, state of rest we remove the stresses and pressures of life. In turn, we get access to a host of other benefits.

Where is it from?

Vedic Meditation was cognized in ancient India over 5,000 years ago.

It is a practice that is not religious or a philosophy. It is a tool to live a happier, calmer life with no need to change any belief systems or dietary requirements.
